Hema Automotive Systems A.S is part of the Hattat Holding Companies. The company started to operate as a brake plant within Hema Industry organization in 1995 and spun off in 2007 as Hema Automotive Systems to have a better focus on demands from the manufacturers of automobiles and light commercial vehicles. As such, the company had the opportunity to increase its quality towards the OEMs and answer to increased demands from the automotive industry.

Production has started under the license of Continental TEVES, now Continental Automotive Systems, back in 1995. Since then, the company has been supplying complete brake systems for Palio – Siena Weekend and Doblo models manufactured by Fiat-Tofaş in their Bursa plant and for Ford Transit Connect model, manufactured by Ford-Otosan Gölcük plant.

In 1999, the company has established his own design team in R&D department and started to design its own brake system and components. The proprietary design is now being used in Karsan, BMC and Intrall vehicles.Hema Automotive Systems A.S is a leading company supplying equipment used in various branches of the automotive industry. Along with the production of brake systems, company is also manufacturing Aluminum Steering Housings for Hema TRW Automotive Steering Systems A.S. Product range also includes Clutch Master Cylinders, Slave Cylinders, Ball Joints and Tractor Brake Cylinders. It is also planned to include manufacturing of CV-joints, airbags, steering wheels and safety belts to the current product range in the years to come.
