Originally structured in 1995 to produce brake systems and steering system components as well as the related spare parts for the automotive industry, Hema Automotive Systems A.S. was part of Hema Industry A.S. organization, and was spun off as an independent company in 2007. It is part of the Hattat Holding Companies.

Management and production is being carried out in a 9.000 sqm closed area on a 15.000 sqm open land in Organize Sanayi Bölgesi Karaağaç Yolu 59501 ÇERKEZKÖY/TEKİRDAĞ.

The company is producing front and rear floating disc brake calipers, servo brakes ( booster, master cylinder and oil tank) and drum brakes for automobiles and light commercial vehicles, aluminum steering housings and ball joints for cars and light commercial vehicles and clutch cylinders for heavy commercial vehicles. For the near future, it is also planned to include production of CV-joints, airbags, steering wheels and safety belts to the current product range.

The main domestic customers are Ford-Otosan, Karsan and BMC. The company is also exporting complete brake systems to Intrall, a Light Commercial Vehicle manufacturer in Poland. Main quality certificates held are ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. Company currently employs 170 Blue collar and 36 white collar employee.
